Accompany the organic farmer and the pork whisperer through their daily life at the organic farm and experience what it means to be a real lucky pig. And to conclude with a small tasting of homemade bread and the farm’s own organic products, you will learn how fantastic happy pigs taste.

About the farm
The Speck Alm is a popular excursion destination for the whole family, owned by the Gaßner family for over 30 years. Sustainability and animal welfare are our top priorities, only farm-owned organic products and handmade organic wood-fired bread come on the tables. The large children’s playground in the middle of nature is very popular for our small guests.
About the region
Bad Kreuzen, 7 km north of the Danube near Grein, enchants with a 150-year-old Kneippkur tradition and hikers will find a true hiking paradise here in the hilly countryside of the Lower Mühlviertel. Especially the legendary Wolf Gorge is a popular destination for families. The highlight along this nature and cult trail is in the truest sense of the word the castle of Kreuzen and from the viewing plateau of the cemetery the panoramic view stretches the romantic Danube valley and the Alpine chain.
The Wolfsschlucht offers a cool refreshment even in summer. Our tip: After a visit to the pork whisperer with the picnic backpack through the Wolfsschlucht.
The tour will be held in German. For inquiries regarding different languages, please get in touch with the Speck Alm early on. Please keep in mind that hiring a translator will cause som extra costs.
