During a three-hour course, you will receive an introduction to the craft of glass bead making. You will learn about the various production techniques and have the opportunity to try them out yourself at the two-gas burner under supervision. With a little skill, you will hold your own personal glass bead in your hands at the end of the workshop.

Description
The artist's workshop of Susanne Brill, alias "die Oderlandperle", is beautifully and idyllically situated on a four-sided farm in the Oderbruch. Here, the likeable young woman has set up a pretty little store in a barn, where you can find all kinds of jewelry and decorative items. The artist also works on her glass beads there herself and the courses also take place in this cozy atmosphere. Although it is incredibly fascinating just to watch, it is of course even more fun if you can sit down at the gas burner and melt the glass yourself. Unique beads are created from colorful glass rods, which you can then turn into necklaces, earrings or other mementos of your choice. The aim is not to produce the perfect bead, but to have a special experience and try out a centuries-old craft for yourself. Working on the burner will relax you and perhaps even bring hidden creative talents to light. The course lasts three hours. The course fee includes the required glass and tasting. A maximum of 2 people can take part as only one distiller is available. The course is not suitable for children under the age of 12 due to the work involved in the distillery.
About the region
Many artists have found their home in the vast landscape of the Oderbruch. The unique cultural landscape offers plenty of space and tranquillity for creative processes. Susanne Brill always tries to capture the surrounding nature in her jewelry. In the immediate vicinity of the Oderlandperle is the village center of Letschin, where you can visit the monument to Old Fritz or the local history museum. The local wine store "Hahn im Glück" offers not only wine but also delicatessen and gift items. The villages of Groß Neuendorf and Zollbrücke are also among the Oderbrücher woman's personal favorite places.
